Surge was founded by the Puerto Rican songwriter Sergio J. González
Pagán. Surge is an ethereal collage of moody indie-rock, folk, grunge, post-punk, and jazz currently based out of New Orleans, Louisiana. 

Sergio is also part of the collaborative entity known as Houses at Night.
